Welcome to Drama
In Drama, Year 7 students begin to build their foundation skills that enable them to create interesting and detailed characters. Students explore a range of performance skills (physical and vocal), bringing characters to life through the use of role play. Activities for Term 1 are based around the famous Roald Dahl story ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’. During this time, students help to recreate some of the fantastical characters, creating their own version of events and taking part in a chocolate machine building competition. There is also an opportunity to join a year 7 Drama club, and to audition for and perform in school productions. Drama is once a week so make sure you come to your lessons with lots of energy and enthusiasm. Miss Hackett is the subject lead in Drama and Performing Arts.
