Uniformed Services and Cadet Organisations
At Wombourne High School, we place a high value on the opportunities provided by uniformed youth organisations, including the Air Cadets, Army Cadets and other service-based groups. These organisations play an important role in developing confidence, leadership, discipline and a strong sense of community in young people, aligning closely with our core values of hard work, positivity and kindness.

We actively encourage our students to get involved in these groups and recognise the significant benefits they bring, both in terms of personal development and future aspirations. Through participation, students gain valuable life skills, build resilience and experience a strong sense of teamwork and belonging.

We are proud to work in partnership with local cadet units and uniformed organisations, supporting them in promoting opportunities to our students and strengthening links between school and the local community. We also actively celebrate student involvement by encouraging those who are members of cadet forces or similar organisations to wear their uniforms with pride during important national events and moments of remembrance, such as Remembrance Day and Armed Forces Day. This helps to foster respect, recognition and a shared understanding of service and sacrifice across our school community.

We warmly welcome engagement from local cadet groups, regiments and uniformed organisations. If you would like to promote your organisation, display information within school, or speak directly to our students through assemblies or events, please contact:
