What Will I Study?
As Triple Scientists, you will have the opportunities to explore your passion for Science both inside & outside of the classroom, gaining experience from many different sources. You will cover the same content as completed in Trilogy (Core) Science but with some extra components such as:
Astrophysics
The Biology of the Eye and the Brain
The Haber process
Future Qualification Ideas
A Level Biology, Chemistry, Physics
Level 3 BTEC in Forensics and Criminology
Future Careers Ideas
Astronaut, Astronomer, Chemist, Doctor, Pharmacist
Engineer, Forensic Scientist, Research, Veterinary Nurse, Zoologist
Awarding Body
AQA (Biology), AQA (Chemistry) & AQA (Physics)
How Will I Learn?
You will be taught the content by subject specialists in Y10 & Y11, in a separate group in addition to your normal Science lessons. There are more required practical lessons for Triple Scientists, which will help you to develop a range of skills needed to progress in the Sciences at A-Level and beyond.
How Will I Be Assessed?
Biology - 2 papers, 1 hour 45 minutes (50% each)
Chemistry - 2 papers, 1 hour 45 minutes (50% each)
Physics - 2 papers, 1 hour 45 minutes (50% each)
