What Will I Study?
This is your opportunity to become curious about the world you live in. You will be given the opportunity to study people and events that have been influential in shaping the world. You will be given the opportunity to dive into England before the Norman Conquest. Move on to discover how different people and governments responded to serious medical epidemics throughout history. Your studies will take you away from England to give you the opportunity to study how the American origin narrative unfolded and how to give you the chance to understand the impact the Nazi dictatorship had on the lives of the German people and those across Europe. You will learn how to develop your own arguments and opinions as well as learning how to utilise different historical interpretations and sources to help understand the past. You will study:

How Will I Learn?
You will be taught this course over two years. The course will be taught using a range of historical information, alongside both written and pictorial sources and interpretations, this will teach you to become more inquisitive and critical.
How Will I Be Assessed?
Paper 1 - Thematic Study - British Depth Study, 1 hour 45 minutes (40%)
Paper 2 - History Around Us, 1 hour (20%)
Paper 3 - Period Study - World Depth Study, 1 hour 45 minutes (40%)
