What Will I Study?
Portfolio You will produce two coursework units (Food for Thought and Portraits). These units enable you to study a wide range of selected artists, investigate ideas, themes, styles, media and processes (two and three-dimensional) in a personal manner. This body of work will constitute 60% of the final grade. The coursework will be completed in and outside lesson time, throughout Year 10 and up to the end of the Autumn Term in Year 11.
Exam - The remaining 40% will be determined by an examination. Exam papers will be issued from the beginning of January in Year 11. You will prepare an answer (over many weeks) to one of the questions posed. Following this a final outcome will be produced in the Art room, during a formal examination (over two whole school days). The resulting body of work has the same features as a coursework unit.
