Wombourne High School, part of Invictus Education Trust, is delighted to celebrate the GCSE results of our Year 11 students. This is a culmination of their hard work and efforts. They can only have achieved such impressive results with the support of the entire community.
This year’s results demonstrate a significant improvement on last year's outcomes. An increase of an extra 6% of students achieved their Grade 5+ in English and Maths, with an extra 10% of students achieving a Grade 7 plus in English and Maths.

Student Stories
We are incredibly proud of all of our students, but specifically the following have overcome real challenges and achieved some exceptional results; Olivia S, Clayton S, Elliott T and Olivia H. Many of our students experience challenges during their time with us, but these are four students of whom we are especially proud!
Headteacher, Mr Bradnick-Thompson said "I am so proud of our students this year. They have worked so hard and deserve all of the successes that they have received. As a cohort, they have bought into the culture of hard work, revision and commitment that we strive for at Wombourne High School. Their engagement with learning has been outstanding this year including the accessing the revision residential, commitment to interventions, and independent revision."
Edward Vitalis, Invictus Education Trust CEO said, "Today is a moment to celebrate the hard work, determination and resilience of all our learners. Their results are an important milestone, and we are incredibly proud of what our young people have achieved. Behind every result is a story of effort, perseverance and personal growth, supported by the dedication of our colleagues and the encouragement of families. As our learners take their next steps into further education, training or employment, we want them to do so with confidence, ambition and pride in everything they have accomplished. On behalf of everyone across our Invictus schools, I would like to congratulate all our learners and wish them every success for the future."
Nikki Clifton, Director of Secondary Education at Invictus Education Trust, said: "I want to congratulate every student at Wombourne, and their families, on their hard work and achievement today. Thank you too to our dedicated teachers and headteachers, who have worked tirelessly to support and encourage our students to achieve their very best.
As a Trust, we are incredibly proud. This year, Invictus has secured its best ever set of GCSE results overall, making significant attainment improvements across many subjects, particularly in English and Maths, and against the Grade 4+ and Grade 5+ English and Maths combined benchmarks.
Thank you to our Central Invictus Team, whose work and support has helped make today's results and this improvement possible. We wish all of our students the very best with their post-16 destinations, and we look forward to continuing this exciting work next year.
Our forthcoming Open Days and Events are available on our website, Open Events | Invictus Education Trust, where we look forward to meeting and getting to know all of our future students and families."
We are excited to invite prospective students and families to our Annual Open Event for the September 2027 Year 12 intake, taking place on 1st October 2026 from 5:00 - 6:30pm. [Click here to book your place]
