STUDENT INFORMATION

Your School Nurse:

The school nurse is there to help you. The school nurse is the first person you may wish to speak to for confidential advice and information about your health. The work school nurses do is expanding and they now have two main roles:

  • To give you confidential advice, care and treatment
  • To look after and protect your physical and emotional health

You can visit the school nurse for lots of different reasons.

Our School Nurse at Wombourne offers two services in school for all students. No appointments needed:

‘Drop-in’ Sessions:

This operates every 3rd Monday in the Month at lunchtimes – Please see poster around school.

Students can discuss a variety of issues.

Examples of concerns you may wish to discuss are

  • Alcohol and Substance Abuse
  • Bed Wetting (Enuresis)
  • Behavioural Problems
  • Bullying
  • Child Protection
  • Constipation
  • Eating Problems
  • Healthy Lifestyle
  • Immunisation
  • Infectious Diseases
  • Personal Hygiene
  • Puberty
  • Self Harm
  • Smoking
  • Weight Management
